Types of Accommodation:
It is good to have information on accommodation in Ucluelet. There is accommodation that overlooks the west facing ocean, Ucluelet inlet and accommodation that less expensive with no ocean view. Black Rock Resort and Vancouver Island Vacation Rentals overlook the west side and have modern condos. Black Rock Resort is a 4 star resorts and has a spa and restaurant on premises and have 800-1200 square foot condos. Vancouver Island Vacation Rentals have 1600-2500 square foot condos built in 2007. Terrace Beach Resort is one of the original places with cabins overlooking the ocean. There are a few nice B&B’s that overlook the ocean including Ocean Dreams, Reef Point and Horizen’s West.
Water’s Edge Resort, formerly Tauca Lea Resort overlooks the boat harbor and the Ucluelet inlet. The Bay Shore Motel was recently updated and also has a couple units overlooking the inlet. Ebb Tide B&B is a nice place to stay on the edge of the inlet is closer to the entrance. Book early though as it fills quickly. Pacific Rose Cottage has a few vacation homes that overlook the inlet close to the start of the inlet in Millstream, 5 minute before getting in to town. Fortune Cove Cabins also have a few nice cabins in the forest, but with small inlet views.
There are quite a few other non ocean view accommodation types you can stay in including motels, vacation homes, cabins, and cottages that are either in town or close to town. You can visit the Ucluelet info center for other choices.
Booking Your stay:
If you come in summer months without booking ahead of time, you may be left scrambling to find a place for your desired nights. There can be last minute deals, however you may have to move around a bit based on availability.
